Follow on Google News | QRAEE salutes all educators on World Teachers' DayThe Association of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education (QRAEE) celebrates the World Teachers’ Day this year
By: QRAA On this occasion, QRAEE congratulates all educators who are working to raise a productive well-educated generation with a subliminal sense of belonging. Special mention goes to the award’s ambassadors, the distinguished educators, who carry the burden of spreading the culture of excellence in their wider communities through developing and overseeing a variety of well needed projects and activities. The whole world celebrates teachers’ day on October 5 every year, which was designated by UNESCO to honour educators and celebrate their leading role in the community. The occasion also coincides with the anniversary of QRAEE’s launch by Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2005. QRAEE continues towards achieving its mission to celebrate Jordan's educators, motivate the distinguished amongst them, spread a culture of excellence, and contribute to knowledge creation. Commenting on the occasion, QRAEE Director Ms. Lubna Touqan reaffirmed the Association’ “Teachers are a national treasure. They work all year to raise generations that will build our society. We highly appreciate all who have dedicated their lives to bettering the education profession,” QRAEE would like to seize this opportunity to thank all who supported and contributed to the association’ Time and again, the award’s ambassadors have proven their value in their local communities by organising individual and joint initiatives, such as “My Beautiful Environment” Those distinguished educators have gone on to share their experiences and success stories on various occasions such as the annual Private Schools Forum. For this year, QRAEE concluded in mid-September the interview phase that precedes the field visits for the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished Teacher in its ninth cycle and the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Distinguished School Counsellor in its first cycle. Preparations are now underway for the field visits, which will commence in the middle of October. The Association will also organise a ceremony in early November to honour teachers and school counsellors who have been awarded certificates of appreciation at the directorate level.
