Poultry enthusiasts in the tropics will be pleased to know University of Guam professor, Dr. Diambra-Odi is releasing his two most recent handbooks on the subject of poultry farming: Tropical Broiler Chicken Management Guide (a guide about the basics of raising chickens for meat in a hot and humid climate) and Tropical Layer Chicken Management Guide: A Sustainable Approach (a guide to help the poultry farmer run a more sustainable operation by utilizing local feed alternatives, and become a good steward of the environment).

About the Author:

Hauhouot Diambra-Odi has a doctorate in poultry science and nutrition from the University of Georgia, Athens, GA. He is currently an associate professor at the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Guam. Hauhouot has been a secondary school administrator, a consultant for the African Development Bank, and co-founder of the first private regional agricultural college in Ivory Coast.
