LOS ANGELES - Oct. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Tanya Young Williams, a nationally recognized activist and advocate for the eradication of domestic violence has launched a tie line to celebrate men’s willingness to show their support for domestic violence awareness.   Young Williams, who is a spokesperson for Safe Passage, partnered with Mogul & Mfg., a Brooklyn based tie manufacturer, to bring the DVK (Domestic Violence Kills) tie to the market during 2014 Domestic Violence Awareness month.

Young Williams founded the non-profit, Domestic Violence Kills (DVK) in October of 2013, to offer unique resources to an under-served demographic of victims. With the assistance of El Ryan, the creative and marketing director of Moguls & Mfg., Young Williams has created a 100% handmade tie, with the domestic violence purple ribbon embellished on it.   The initiative is to bring greater awareness for our need for men to be more involved in the cause.  President Obama said  "It is on the parents of young men to teach them respect for women, and on grown men to set an example and be clear on what it means to be a man."

“Domestic Violence is not about men versus women, it's about right versus wrong. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the season for greater enlightenment, discussions and implementing initiatives that will assist victims in transitioning from positions of peril to that of power. More than ever, it is imperative that men join women in the fight against domestic violence,” said Young Williams.

The DVK tie will be provided to celebrity men like James Brown, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Michael Strahan, Chris Carter, Ray Lewis, and Michael Irving who have spoken out against domestic violence in the wake of the Ray Rice, NFL domestic violence controversy.  Their willingness to show support for domestic violence awareness will empower of other men to wear the tie with pride. The handmade ties are available online at Domestic Violence Kills Helpline http://www.domesticviolencekillshelpline.webs.com and retail for $49.00. The profits from the ties go to DVK programs and outreach.

Our business caters to men and we feel a responsibility to use our voices and resources to ask every man who visits our website or wears our neckties to take a stand against domestic violence," says Ryan of Moguls & Mfg. http://www.mogulsandmfg.com
