BLUE BELL, Pa. - Oct. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The firm has historically placed a strong emphasis on training as a way to quickly on-board new team members. This means less drag time resulting from new personnel joining the firm and, ultimately, the ability to easily expand. However, as Jacob M., the firm’s president, explains, JAM Promotions isn’t ready to settle with good; they want to keep making their training program better.

As such they have been making some tweaks to their system. Jacob has setup what he called a 50/50 plan. “New personnel spend 50% of their time learning from the more experienced representatives and 50% of their time putting those concepts into practice,” he explained. Every new team member is paired with a veteran. This helps them to quickly accelerate their journey toward success. “This makes sure that they learn the basics of marketing and business but are still learning through experience.”

Once they have learned about the core marketing and business concepts of the company, new brand representatives are given a rigorous run down of their firm’s current campaigns and clients. By having them learn about every current project, and not just the ones they will be assigned, means that the new team members will be ready to jump onto another campaign at a moment’s notice. Additionally, the group is broken into smaller teams of two to three members in order to hit their personal and professional goals by keeping one another accountable.

One of the brand representatives that has really stood out amongst the newest group is Kelle. A graduate of Ohio State University, he immediately displayed an understanding of how to work well with a team, setting each person up for success. “Kelle is one of the top team members in our training workshops,” said Jacob. “He has really stood out by always asking questions and looking for feedback. He’s hungry to learn and be the best.”

JAM Promotions Uses Team Nights to Motivate Team

Of course, setting their team up for success doesn’t end with training. JAM Promotions also has a continuing system of incentives to keep the entire group motivated. This ranges from bonuses to international trips. However, the most common are weekly team nights. These include going out to eat, playing laser tag, participating in game nights, and going to Philadelphia for cheesesteaks.

“It’s a great way to relax at the end of the week,” said Jacob. “It also helps to set everyone up for a great coming week and puts everyone in a creative, playful mood.”
