The Epitome of Soul Holiday Gala

LODI, N.J. - Oct. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Epitome of Soul presents their holiday gala on December 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with live entertainment, an elegant dinner, vendors and grand raffle prizes from the New Jersey Jets, American Express and more. The event will be held at The Elan in Lodi, New Jersey.

The purpose of the holiday gala is to celebrate the holiday season while advancing high school students in the arts through raising funds for Epitome of Soul’s scholarships: Music is Life Scholarship and The Keys of Success for Performing Arts Students Scholarship. The live entertainment portion of the evening will include performances from A’ndre Davis, Anthony Cimorosi, Saundra Silliman and local New Jersey talent.

A’ndre Davis is a singer, songwriter and actor who has been on MTV.com and in regional productions such as DreamGirls and Looking For Love in all the Wrong Places. Currently Davis is starring in Man of The House, the #1 urban stage play written and produced by Davis himself.

Long-time bassist, composer and producer, Anthony Cimorosi, is known for his performances with international artists such as The Temptations, The Drifters, Randy Brecker, Baba Olatunji and more. Cimorosi and Saundra Silliman will be performing a duet together. Silliman has toured South Africa with “The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad to Southern Africa” and has appeared as Billie Holiday in “Lady Day and Prez” at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).

Early bird tickets for the gala are on sale now until October 31, 2014. General admission tickets go on sale November 1, 2014. Epitome of Soul, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2012 to provide support and direction to high school performing arts students in Paterson, New Jersey and New York City. The organization was created in response to our concern that too many minority and low-income students were being affected by decreased arts funding due to the high demands of the No Child Left Behind Act.
