Actor Bill Sorvino Appears In A Panel Discussion on the GingerNewYork TV Show in NYC

NEW YORK - Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The existence of one of the last remaining nature trails in a New York City park is threatened by a Parks Department plan to pave it over.  Community members explain why the 40-year old trail in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx should stay in its natural state.  Those involved with the "Save The Putnam Nature Trail" documentary include:

Bill Sorvino: Trained at William Esper Studio two year acting program. Bill Sorvino has established himself as an award winning and critically lauded actor. Typically playing lead roles, his range allows him to take on varied supporting character work. Named for one of the top most influential people in the Garden State in 2012 and 2013. Will Sanchez: is Host and Editor of the cable and on-line TV show “Gotta Run with Will, ”now in its fifth year. This short video is an edited version of the series’first on-location episode. Mr. Sanchez, a lifelong New Yorker, received his Masters from NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. He has completed eighteen Marathons including the original Marathon in Athens, Greece, pacing his wife to her first Marathon. He is published in the “Chicken Soup for the Soul”series for his  “Running with Joy,”the story of his pacing Joy Johnson to first place in her age category in NYC’s 2008 Marathon. He is a member of the Community Response Team [CERT], Community Board #8,Manhattan, and a flanking member of Flotilla-11 of the Auxiliary Coast Guard, now retired after five years of service.

Vanessa Córdova-Corwin: began her producing career at Sesame Workshop where she worked on international co-productions of Sesame Street. She held international and domestic production positions at World Wrestling Entertainment, HBO, MTV and A&E. She has produced award-winning Spanish market promotional campaigns for Lifetime Television, Showtime Networks and Galavisión as well as numerous industrials and PSAs.  She produced the independent short film, “Saint Nick,”written and directed by Patty Mulcahy, which screened at various independent venues and festivals.  Currently, Vanessa is the producer and director of the monthly TV and web series, “HerFlix”, which presents movie reviews, interviews, festival reports and more from a woman’s perspective.  Vanessa is a member of New York Women in Film and Television and sits on the Board of Directors of Manhattan Neighborhood Network.

Guy Shahar: Guy’s work includes the 3-timeTony-Nominated “Ghost: The Musical,” based on the 1990 Academy Award-winning film, “Ghost”; the critically acclaimed feature film “Holly”, starring Ron Livingston, Chris Penn, and Thuy Nguyen; the documentary “Redlight,”narrated by Lucy Liu.  His work has been seen theatrically, online, on television (HBO, Sundance, Showtime, AMC, PBS), and in over a hundred film festivals worldwide.  As a SAG-AFTRA member he is passionately committed to the craft of acting, having studied with, among others, Deena Levy at the Deena Levy Theatre Studio, with whom he went on to teach acting workshops. Tamara Thelander: Growing up in South Africa, Tamara has performed in many school and community theater plays before moving to the United States to continue her studies in acting. She has since performed in many theater productions and has also appeared in several short films and features. The short film "Utter", in which she plays one of the leads, was screened at several film festivals in many cities, including New York City and London. Tamara is a regular guest on "Jackie's Joke Hunt" on Howard 101 on Sirius XM. was one of the Festival Directors of the Northeast Film Festival in 2013 and is currently the Marketing Director for the Golden Door International Film Festival.Having such a huge love for film making, Tamara has also worked as Associate Producer and Location Scout on a few projects and has also written, produced and starred in the short film "Wishful Thinking" and produced and directed "Party On The 6 Train", starring Bill Sorvino, Frank Albanese and Stevie Steel.
