Bruel & Kjaer UK launches 2015 training courses

ROYSTON, U.K. - Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The company’s courses for 2015 includes Acoustic & Vibration Introduction for Design & Test Engineer, which is a three-day course for industrial engineers. It provides a thorough understanding of the basic concepts important for airborne and structure-borne noise - and vibration in machinery. Upon completion, attendees will have gained an understanding of these basic principles, enabling them to distinguish the different aspects of noise and vibration generation - and then apply these principles in practice.

For environmental practitioners and consultants, Bruel & Kjaer UK’s Theory and Practice of Noise Measurement course provides a basic understanding of acoustic and measurement principles. The course covers many applications such as noise abatement, product labelling and building acoustics. Attendees will learn to carry out a host of noise measurements, correct set-up of measuring instruments and assessment of noise reports.

There is also the Vibration Testing for Engineers and Technicians course, which provides a practical introduction, explaining interpretation of vibration test specifications and application on a vibration test system. It’s designed for engineers new to the field of vibration testing, but also acts a useful refresher for more experienced users.

An optional third day - called Vibration Hands on Practical - covers the LDS Laser usb Controller for sine, random, shock and mixed mode testing and continues a more in depth hands on for the student.

Tests will be run on an LDS V830 to provide each student with confidence for a realistic setup of an air cooled system. This 90% practical session puts into use the lessons learnt on the first two days, including all project parameters, error messages and control methods whilst observing resonance and Limit control on a test piece.

Brüel & Kjær will also run a series of free, online training sessions throughout 2015, presented by its technical experts.
