Putting a Face to a Cyberbully – Peak City Publishing Releases Military Bratz by LaTangela Newsome

"Military Bratz" is a children’s book which deals with cyberbullying. The story teaches readers how to deal with the anonymity of a bully using social media to demean, insult and spread rumors.

DALLAS - Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Military Bratz takes place in Frankfurt, Germany where a band of kids, whose parents are in the military, are organizing a fund raiser to improve the school playground.  They are suddenly faced with a cyberbully whose sole mission is to make kids feel bad, lower their self-esteem and want to pull themselves out of activities and events that encourage and spread positive energy. The cyberbully, a menacing character, has a face in the story.

LaTangela explains, We put a face to "Cyberbully" and made him the villain in our story so that kids can wrap their minds around the problem. It can be pretty scary to kids when they receive anonymous hateful comments that could be coming from anywhere or anyone. We want kids to minimize the problem to one monster that they have the power to overcome.  This story teaches kids about self empowerment, it will help them realize that they are Superheroes with the power inside to destroy "Cyberbully" forever. Once they learn, like the band, to believe in themselves, cyberbullying can be obsolete.“

The story, using media the kid's in the targeted age group are used to: cartoon characters, bold colors and a creative story line, makes it an entertaining read and relates to the level of experience the child has with technology. Newsome said, “Kids have access to the internet sooner and can do amazing things with the technology. Military Bratz is intended for readers in 3rd and 4th grade who are beginning to experience the technology in schools and social circles.  We felt that it is important to start the conversation now before they are faced with the anonymity of cyber-bullying."

Military Bratz is a full color paper back available through the publisher, Amazon and E-Book.  Find more information at:  http://www.MilitaryBratz.com
