Murphy Company and Penta Technologies win award for innovative technology for contractors

PENTA Mobile and Role-Based Workbenches help streamline Murphy operations

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Mechanical contractor Murphy Company (http://www.murphynet.com/) was awarded a Gold Constructech Vision Award at a ceremony in San Francisco, California.

Murphy Company CIO Aaron Geiger accepted the award for their innovative use of PENTA Mobile (http://www.penta.com/mobilesolutions.html) and Role-Based Workbenches (http://www.penta.com/Role-Based-Workbench-software.html). The integration and application of these technologies has allowed Murphy Company to streamline the collection of time/material/equipment data from their service technicians at customer sites. Instead of being in the field and having to record information to be sent back to a database and billing at a later time, technicians are able to record all information from the field and upon completion of a service ticket, billing is immediately notified. This is in contrast to many other mobile applications where information is recorded in the field to be submitted at a later time which in turn, delays the billing cycle.

Penta Technologies was jointly recognized as Technology Enabler.

“I couldn’t be happier for the whole team at Murphy Company,” stated Karl Koenig, President and CEO of Penta Technologies. “They embody the spirit of true partnership. When they recognized opportunities to overcome challenges in their businesses, they came to the table with ideas, we came with our ideas, and together we arrived at solutions that address those challenges better than either of us would have arrived at independently.”

PENTA Mobile

“Our time-to-bill has improved significantly since we introduced PENTA Mobile, and our management team has access to real-time, accurate data,” said Geiger. “In our business, service is huge, and the bottom line is that PENTA has helped us improve the service we provide to our customers.”
