Newhaven Court at Clearview Craft Show enters fifth year

BUTLER, Pa. - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Newhaven Court at Clearview’s fifth annual Fall Craft Show has expanded to include a petting zoo and a piano performance by one of the senior living community’s residents.

    More than 30 vendors have committed to participate in the craft show on Saturday, October 18 at Newhaven Court at Clearview, 100 Newhaven Lane in Butler. The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

    “The Fall Craft Show is one of our most well-received events, and it really enables our residents, staff and the community to bond together,” said Kathy Roudybush, Activities Director at Newhaven Court at Clearview. “We’re having a petting zoo, which is new. Living Treasures Animal Park is bringing pets. One of our residents will play on our grand piano. She’s so excited and has been practicing a couple times a day.”

    The craft show features jewelry, candy, cookies, knitting, crocheting and other crafts. The Newhaven Court at Clearview dining staff will make pumpkin rolls and apple dumplings.

    “There is a little something for everyone,” Roudybush said. “It’s a win-win. It’s a fund raiser for our community, and it’s an opportunity for the many craft vendors to show their creations.”
