There's An Undeniable “Excitement Building” For 2014!

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- RIVERSIDE, CA. – At 11:00 a.m. on November 5^th, the 2014 Building Industry Show (BIS 2014) kicks off in not just a new location, but a completely renovated Riverside Convention Center!  Now back to its original two-day format and boasting a show floor filled with 50% more exhibitors than last year, the show’s theme of “Excitement Building” is 100% accurate.

For nearly three decades, BIS has been Southern California’s “farmers market” type of trade show in that it truly draws from local professionals for both exhibitors and attendees. Those in attendance will have the pleasure of running into their current colleagues but also enjoy the convenience of generating new business opportunities with people located right here in Southern California.

New at BIS 2014:

First is the new Exhibitor “Cool Products” Awards program recognizing those exhibitors whose products demonstrate exciting innovations in the areas of design, efficiency, cost reduction, and more.  Award recipients will be featured in a variety of BIASC communications and receive prominent placement at the all newConservation Corner.  Putting a new twist on the BIS Education Theater, Conservation Corner will feature the “Cool Products” award winners and presentations from industry professionals, all of which will provide new information on products and methods they can use to meet energy codes, save water and deliver a more environmentally conscious product to the homebuyer.

The new at BIS 2014 list continues with a Happy Hour and coffee bar at “The Spot” which is a featured area brought to you by The Gas Company.

Back by popular demand is the “Meet the Builder” event at 11:00 a.m. on November 5^th in the Raincross Ballroom.  This event gives registrants a rare opportunity to meet face to face with over 20 different homebuilding companies.  Perhaps one of the best values offered at BIS, tickets to Meet the Builder are just $100.00 and include a pass to walk the trade show floor (a $55 value) and a BIASC member roster. BIS 2014 will offer several educational workshops and that are free for paid attendees. Some topics include; Water Allocation and Supply in 2015 and Beyond, Conservation & Water Efficiency, Adapting to the California Energy Code and Facing Challenges in the Field, Alternatives to Big Bank Project Funding, i Joist vs. Conventional Lumber, and more.

For 2014, the signature Builder Breakfast event has been switched to a Builder Luncheon. Set to begin at 11:00 am in the Raincross Ballroom, panelists confirmed include Bob Yoder, Division President of Shea Homes, Steve Ruffner, President of KB Home and Michael Maples, Co-Founder and Managing Member of Trumark Companies.  With Tim Sullivan, Practice Leader at Meyers Research LLC making an encore appearance as the event’s Moderator, attendees will be treated to an inside look into how industry leaders are meeting and exceeding the many demands of the savvy Southern California new home buyer.

Further insight can be gained at the unveiling of BIA of Southern California and The Gas Company’s VISION survey results in the Raincross Ballroom on Thursday, November 6^th at 8:00 a.m. Proving his status as a BIS VIP, Tim Sullivan of Meyers LLC will be guiding this special breakfast giving critical summations of a data ranging in topic from demographics to product preferences from over 15,000 consumers who have moved in the last 2.5 years.
