Governor Pat Quinn Officially Proclaims 1st Annual Illinois Week for the Animals October 11-19, 2014

During this extraordinary week, community leaders and humane organizations across Illinois will be hosting wonderful animal-related events. Educators, youth, businesses and caring citizens will be joining to celebrate and help animals!
 
CHICAGO - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce the 1st  Annual Illinois Week for the Animals is scheduled October 11- October 19, 2014.   During the extraordinary week offically proclaimed by Governor Pat Quinn and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel , animal shelters, rescue groups, wildlife centers, educational institutions and humane organizations across the entire state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events which will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across the state will be joining in to celebrate and help the animals.

Events will include Chicago AC & C partnering with Chicago Wolves hockey team for Adopt-a-Dog nights, events including the adoption events, low cost & free spay/neuter events, animal programs at Chicago's Main Public Library to help shelter pets, dog training classes,student activities for the animals, 5k's, Tree House Humane Society Marathon adoption event and a Black Cat Ball  later in week, Paws Pals Chicago AC & C special adoptathon for pit bulls, ways to help horses, pet food pantry donations, farm animal sanctuary events, wildlife camps, senior dog special fees adoptathon, sanctuary educational/meet presentation, pet pantry drives, and therapy animals visiting hospitals and living-assisted homes.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K-9 and handlers, pet care  seminars, low cost vaccinations, vegetarian meetups, and fun-filled fall festivals for families to enjoy friendship, food, music on behalf of the always amazing animals. There is more being planned! Scores of precious lives will be saved and lasting new relationships will be built in communities during the dynamic week which will have approximately 75+ events in the spotlight!
