DevOps is changing the way that software is delivered. The Agile Meets DevOps Symposiums will take attendees from one software deployment to 30, using rapid software release techniques for competitive advantage. A recognized visionary in the field, he previously oversaw the Cloud Computing Enterprise Solutions division at Dell Enstratius. Golden serves as the cloud computing advisor for CIO Magazine and is the author or co-author of four books on virtualization and cloud computing. His presentation will address the realities of adopting and implementing DevOps and why many current approaches fall short of what is required to achieve the vision of integrating development and operations. Buffington, Principal Consultant at Reed, Chester and Gordon, is a consultant specializing in diagnosis and turnaround of IT and software development organizations. His focus is on financial services, healthcare, and software, where his extensive background includes assignments as CIO of Fidelity Investments, Comerica Bank and CIGNA Health Care. He is working with Scrum.org on development of Evidence-Based Management concepts and applications. Buffington's presentation will discuss how to use evidence to evaluate, diagnose, and improve the value added by software development to the enterprise. He will offer an approach that suggests how to apply both direct and circumstantial evidence to improving that value.
