Four Partners at Hinshaw & Culbertson Named to Leadership Positions

MIAMI - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Four partners at the two South Florida offices of the law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson have been named to key firm leadership positions.

Ronald L. Kammer, the Partner-in-Charge of Hinshaw's Coral Gables office, was named the Leader of the firm's Insurance Unit. Sina Bahadoran, a partner in the Coral Gables office, was named the Practice Group Co-Leader of the Insurance Services Group and Steven Carlyle Cronig, a partner in the Coral Gables office, was named the Business Development Partner of the firm’s Commercial Transactions Group.  Cheryl Wilke, the Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office, was named one of the firm's two Business Development Partners.

Kammer focuses on the representation of insurers nationally. He has been involved in many significant cases that interpreted an insurance company’s duty to defend and indemnify, breach of policy conditions, claims involving bad faith and unfair and deceptive trade practices, as well as coverage obligations for construction defect, pollution, trademark and patent infringement claims. Kammer regularly provides advice to insurance carriers and policyholders on issues involving policy interpretation, claims handling practice and procedures, and the drafting of insurance policy provisions. He also practices in general civil litigation including commercial litigation, legal malpractice and insurance agents’ errors and omissions. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.

Bahadoran focuses his practice on representing insurance companies in complex coverage disputes and market conduct (bad faith) matters throughout the southeastern United States. He also counsels clients on a variety of matters including corporate insurance transactions and insurance regulatory matters. For his surplus lines clients, he has extensive experience in policy drafting and product development, including professional liability and employment practices policies, as well as endorsements specific to the construction and nutraceutical industries. Bahadoran received his Juris Doctor from Boston College School of Law.

Cronig is a Florida Bar Certified Real Estate Attorney and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate development and lender representation. He represents many commercial and private lenders in connection with the structuring of new asset-secured loans, construction financing, mezzanine financing, the purchase of existing portfolio assets from other lenders, participation agreements among consortia of lenders and the administration of lender portfolio assets. Cronig received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.

Wilke focuses her practice on the representation of employers in labor and employment matters, including litigation of FLSA, Title VII and retaliatory cases. In addition, she provides comprehensive risk management programs for her clients. Wilke counsels on all aspects of employer/employee relations, including business litigation, regulatory compliance, employment defense litigation and workers’ compensation matters. She also practices in the area of high-dollar commercial litigation and collections and services. Wilke earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law.
