Brothers Continue to Make Significant Contribution with Powerful Charity

LOS ANGELES - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Noted Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Michael Omidi and his brother Julian continue to fight hunger, oppression and suffering across the globe with their charity No More Poverty. Their enduring passion and commitment to their work are impressive, considering they have enjoyed significant privilege and fame associated with their advanced medical training and expertise. Despite these personal and professional successes, however, both Julian and Michael report their fundamental unhappiness with the disparities in medical care and basic health across the globe. Although they now “fly under the radar” helping others instead of working towards personal recognition, their charity continues to make undeniable and significant contributions towards this fight against worldwide poverty and despair.

No More Poverty’s stated mission is to help end poverty at home and abroad through partnering with other charities worldwide. Through tenacious fundraising efforts and a social media campaign aimed at boosting awareness of worthwhile, legitimate nonprofits, Michael and Julian Omidi’s work has helped boost donations for multiple important charity networks. Indeed, a look at their website shows off multiple opportunities for learning more about various programs helping individuals and families both in the United States and overseas.

It’s important to note that Michael and Julian, along with the rest of the Omidi family, do not accept donations directly, nor are they involved at any financial level with these organizations. Donating their time and money along with desperately needed publicity to their partner charities is simply the Omidis’ way of giving back to the community at large. “We’ve been extremely fortunate in our own professional and personal lives,” says Michael Omidi, “so this is really our way of just paying it forward, so to speak. It’s been a thrill to see the difference we have made so far.”

Judging by the increase in donations, the sizable social media response and positive feedback they’ve received from both nonprofit employees and the clients they help, clearly the Omidis have established themselves as an invaluable part of the Los Angeles philanthropic community.
