NEW YORK - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- An arts & fashion masquerade ball will raise funds to combat human trafficking on October 30 at the Holy Apostles Ballroom.

The Monster Masquerade Ball will feature designers and artists showcasing work featured in venues such as Marie Claire, the New York Times, and the recently released Anatomy of Steampunk: The Fashion of Victorian Futurism. Proceeds from the event will support non-profit organization Freedom Ladder in its mission to educate and advocate on behalf of victims of hu- man trafficking. The events will be held at the Holy Apostles Ballroom in at Ninth Avenue and 28th Street.

Doors for the event open at 7PM. Designers displaying historically inspired pieces include Jane Noriega, Aly X Joshua, and Berít New York. The night will also feature art installations from internationally showcased Nina Velatova and award-winning sculptor Sylvia Nagy. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and gown.

The Set NYC’s founder and director Pim Shih said, “It will be a beautiful night with amazing designers, in a spectacular venue. The Holy Apostles is the perfect place for a masquerade ball, and all of it goes to support an incredible foundation.”
