Cincy Chic Hosts Eighth Annual Bras With Flair on The Square

CINCINNATI - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Hundreds of decorated bras will fly high on Fountain Square for the eighth annual Bras with Flair on the Square. Hosted by Cincy Chic, the only online publication for women in Greater Cincinnati, the event will take place on Oct. 17 and all proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The first portion of this two-part event runs from 11a.m.-1p.m. on Fountain Square. Decorated “bras with flair” will be displayed and attendees can vote for their favorite. Attendees can also enjoy No Cost Mammograms, courtesy of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and shop with local vendors set up on the Square. The second half of the day will take place from 5-8p.m. on Fountain Square. This portion of the event includes drinks, shopping, a silent auction and a fashion show featuring fall trends from Curate Boutique, The Blowdry Bar, Folchi's Fine Men's Apparel and Formal Wear.

“It has been such as pleasure to work with Amy Scalia, her team, and Cincy Chic over the past years as they organize and grow the Bras with Flair on the Square event,” says Dr. Amy Weber, Community Health Programs Manager of Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati. “Their commitment to keep awareness of breast health issues and the effect of breast cancer on women and families in the Tri-state remains steady until a Cure for this devastating disease is discovered. We appreciate their support and efforts in all they do each year during this event and throughout the year with our organization.”

People are encouraged to decorate bras and drop them off at select PNC Bank branches in Cincinnati. The owner of the decorated bra with the most votes will win two Ultimate Air Shuttle tickets. Contest details are located atcincychic.com/braswithflair

Fashion show tickets are $10, which includes access into the event, light bites, wine, and a swag bag. 100% of the proceeds from fashion show tickets, silent auction and donations benefit Susan G.
