Fusion Jerky Helps Raise $50K for Cancer Patients

Olympic Gold Medalist and Artisan Jerky Company Team Up to Raise Money for Local Medical Center

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Olympic Gold Medalist and Fusion Jerky All-Natural Tyler Clary helped raise $50,000 for Team KC in their annual SwimStrong Swim-a-thon on Sunday. Team KC strives to improve the quality of life of pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Team KC was founded by the family of Korrine Croghan who suffered from Choriocarcinoma at the age of 14. During the course of her treatment, Croghan experienced many complications and spent numerous days at Kaiser Oakland. After her passing in 2008, her family founded Team KC.

The seventh annual Swim-a-thon brought 190 swimmers to the Robert Livermore Community Center to support Team KC.

“It was truly an amazing experience to be a part of the Swim-a-thon,” said Olympian and Fusion Jerky representative, Tyler Clary. “The dedication from those involved was apparent, and I feel lucky to be able to help the children and families of Kaiser Oakland in a time they need it most.”
