Celebrate Halloween Early with Kids and Adults Costume Contests at the Maricopa Music Festival

MARICOPA, Ariz. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The goblins and ghouls are invited to come out for a day of music and fun at the inaugural Maricopa Music Festival, which will take place on October 25^th from noon to 7:00 p.m. at the new Copper Sky Recreational Center located at 44345 West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  Youngsters are invited to join us for an early Halloween celebration, and a Halloween costume contest which will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the HeyMaricopaTV booth.  Other activities for kids include bouncy houses, face painting and music from noon to 3:00 p.m. from a variety of local kid’s music groups.

Prizes for the 0-15 age group include:

First Prize: A bike sponsored by Coca Cola

Second Prize:  $50

3rd place $25. Judged @3pm by HeyMaricopaTV booth. Winner will walk across the stage.

After 3:00 p.m. the music focus will shift to a variety of local and national adult musical acts.  Adults can join in the fun too, as there will be an adult costume contest at 6:00 at the HeyMaricopa TV booth.

Prizes for those 16+ include:

First Prize:  $100

Second Prize:  $75

Third Prize:  $50

This music event will provide a day of fun for the entire family.  It will also be helping two non-profit organizations, Maricopa Military Families and Maricopa Food Bank. This is a free event and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to these worthy causes.

“We are hoping the community will come out for a day of fun and pre-Halloween festivities, and help us support those in need in our local community by bringing a non-perishable food item as a donation,” said Chrystal Allen-O’Jon.

The event will also pay tribute to local military veterans and thank them for their service.
