National Domestic Violence Non-Profit Chooses to W.I.N. Over Violence

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The W.I.N. Foundation, a non-profit that provides programs of domestic abuse recovery, has launched an awareness campaign entitled “Love Does Not Hurt”.  “Love Does Not Hurt” is a virtual campaign that allows both men and women to join in the message and mentorship movement through education by reminding others that "Love Does Not Hurt".

“Research shows that if men get involved, we can end the cycle of abuse,” said Dr. Tracy, founder of W.I.N. Each person who joins the video campaign is asked to record a video, share why he or she thinks it is important, and then challenge two people and a favorite NFL player to take the stance.

Why include NFL Players?  According to Kemble, “The NFL needs a W.I.N.  It currently has a black-eye on its brand.  It is important, however, to know that not just the NFL, but also young men around this country need to see other men take a stance against violence towards women.  Domestic violence affects one in three women in the United States.  This means that it is no longer just a family problem.  This is now a cultural problem.  We need to get off the sidelines and get involved.”

The W.I.N. Foundation is a 501c-3 non-profit and has been providing programs of recovery since 1996.  The W.I.N. Foundation is asking for a $10 donation per video.   The funds raised will go towards providing education, awareness and recovery programs for domestic abuse.

You will do this by creating a video (on your phone) where you catch a football, state your name and say, "I am making a stance that on behalf of the WIN Foundation that Love Does Not Hurt." Then, challenge 2 people AND YOUR FAVORITE NFL PLAYER to take the stance. We are asking for a $10 donation to WIN per video.Our goal is to raise $54,000,000. I know... What?! WHY!? Because that is how many women A YEAR, in the USA face abuse. It sends a message to the media how extreme the problem is. The funds raised will be donated to shelters, educations programs, etc. etc. (future discussions about this will be taking place). Most important it is time to get people off the sidelines on this issue.
