BRADENTON, Fla. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Cox Chevy is once again sponsoring a Manasota Truck Night. The event is a showcase and celebration of the pickup truck and draws automotive enthusiasts from throughout the gulf coast region. The next Manasota Truck will be held on October 25, 2014 at the Hooters restaurant on US-41 in Bradenton beginning at 3 p.m. Guests will be able to look at the pickups up close and talk to the owners.

Participants who wish to showcase a truck can participate in a judged contest and possibly win prizes from local sponsors. Trucks will be divided into classes including gas trucks, diesel trucks, and trucks that are not street legal. They will be judged based on specific criteria including the quality of the interior, the stereo, the lights, and the exterior paint and graphics. There will also be a category for the people's choice.

Entry into the judged competition costs $10 per participant, and judging will begin at 5:30 P.M. Judges are local automotive experts with a specific interest in custom truck modifications.

A fundraiser for breast cancer will also be held in conjunction with the Manasota Truck Night. Donations can be made in person at Cox Chevy at 2900 Cortez Road W. in Bradenton, FL, or over the phone by calling (941) 756-0621. This is a continuation of Cox Chevy's longstanding commitment to raising breast cancer awareness and funds to research treatments and cures.

The dealership will also donate $1 for every like their breast cancer awareness Facebook page receives up to $5000 through the month of October. All funds raised will go to the American Cancer Society.

Past Manasota Truck Night events have drawn large crowds and a diverse collection of custom pickups. Past winners have come from throughout the region to show off the creativity and mechanical acumen they have invested in their pickups. Other event sponsors including MUDRUP will have tents onsite where guests will be able to purchase pickup-related merchandise and speak to experts about automotive modifications.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early, and to find alternate parking, as the lot at Hooters will be reserved for pickups. This is a family-friendly event. Please contact Cox Chevy with any questions about attending or registering for Manasota Truck Night.
