UNISON North Cheshire Health Launches New Website

WARRINGTON, U.K. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Unison North Cheshire Health (NCH) represents over 2,000 members working at Halton Hospital, Warrington Hospital and nursing homes through North Cheshire.

Halton Hospital Convenor & Welfare Officer Cathy MacDowall – a key UNISON NCH branch contact, said “I have been over-seeing the new website development. Our branch represents members on work related matters such as Grievances, Disciplinaries and Sickness Reviews as well as delivering services, support and information about local and national news, campaigns, welfare, education, Health & Safety, member benefits and much more to our membership. As such we believe a responsive website is a quick and easy way to communicate all this information - members can literally access the website on any device, at any time, day or night, when it suits them.

In addition the website is an ideal way of providing important Contact information to our members. There are many volunteers – branch officers and stewards – who offer help and support to our members and via the website we can provide their contact details and a little bit more information about each person. It helps to build up trust and our members feel they know each branch steward or officer a little bit before contacting them, giving them confidence to get in touch.

It’s also important that our own branch news is cascaded to our membership as soon as possible and this way – through the website – it’s instant”.

As well as up to date information on both a national and local level, the new website provides details about how to join UNISON – which represents over 1.3 million people working in the UK’s public services sector.
