Colonial Courtyard at Bedford celebrates Polka Fest

BEDFORD, Pa. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Colonial Courtyard at Bedford will combine a savory menu of ethnic food and music during its Polka Fest on Friday, October 10 at the senior living community located at 220 Donahue Manor Road.

    “The residents and team at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford will get into the autumn spirit,” said Nanette Bankes, Activities Coordinator of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford. “Music provides a common bond for our residents. It can be inspiring or simply just old-fashioned fun. Polka music is both entertaining and fun.”

    Polka Fest will include a meal featuring traditional Polish and German entrees in the Courtyard dining room. Polka Fest with music by Paul Stephenson will be at 1:30 p.m. Non-alcoholic beer and soft pretzels will be served at 2:30.

    "We anticipate a great event for our residents, with great music and excellent food to be enjoyed by all," Bankes said. "These types of special events often rekindle memories for some of our residents. It really does lift their spirits."
