Blue Chip Delivers £0.5m IT Refresh for Sunseeker International

POOLE, U.K. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- IT specialist, Blue Chip has delivered a £0.5 million IT Infrastructure system refresh for Sunseeker International, manufacturers of the world’s finest motoryachts.

While the existing system implemented by Blue Chip in 2007 had worked very well, the company had expanded and was experiencing a significant data growth year-on-year leading it to rethink its IT strategy.  Blue Chip’s Sales and Marketing director, Anthony Green, said: “We were one of three companies invited to tender and our proposal provided a forward thinking, end -to-end solution that embraced new technologies, whilst also incorporating project design, implementation and our industry leading 24/7 support.”

Blue Chip implemented the £0.5 million enterprise solution, comprising technologies from VMware, Citrix EMC, and Veeam.  As Sunseeker were already virtualised, the major IT refresh focused on replacing ageing core infrastructure with new enterprise technology that gave Sunseeker higher performance, additional functionality, enhanced resilience and room for future expansion in line with the company’s growth strategy.  In addition, Blue Chip provided Sunseeker’s Disaster Recovery (DR) and a new Backup Solution via its datacentre facilities. Blue Chip will continue to provide full support and maintenance via its 24/7 Service Desk which is crucial for an international company operating in different time zones.
