Paper Bag Co Raise Funds For Macmillan Nurses

Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The staff at Paper Bag Co joined forces to show their baking skills in order to help raise funds for Macmillan Nurses during a nationwide coffee morning.

Last year, there were more than 150,000 people who signed up for the Macmillan coffee morning, helping to raise £20 million. In 2014, Paper Bag Co are looking to help the UK beat that figure.

Team members produced a number of tasty treats for people to enjoy in return for a donation. Some of the cakes included Lemon and Poppy Seed cake, Chocolate Brownies and a Victoria Sponge.

The Macmillan coffee morning was set up to raise the much-needed funds to help one of the UK’s most important charities, the Macmillan Nurses. The amount of people with cancer in their daily lives is always rising, but with the help of coffee mornings like this, the staff that help these people can do their job that is so important.

Currently there are around 3000 Macmillan nurses and they still need the financial support made from these coffee morning. The money raised from the Paper Bag Co coffee morning, and from those around the country, go a long way towards improving the lives of cancer sufferers and their families.
