KENT, U.K. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, will explain how business can get fit for the future at The Supply Chain Forum, an event dedicated to presenting new thinking and new solutions for senior logistics professionals. The forum is on 21 October 2014 at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham.

“As organisations change focus from survival to growth, more and more companies are asking themselves if they are ready to meet the changing market conditions,” explains Oliver Wight Managing Partner, Stewart Kelly. “It all boils down to the health and readiness of your business and its core processes: supply chain, demand and product management.“

As part of Oliver Wight’s ongoing ‘fit for the future’ campaign, Kelly will present at the event, sharing insight into how, through benchmarking and a business maturity assessment, organisations can establish where they are, so they can get to where they want to be.

Delegates will gain an understanding of how to establish organisational readiness, improve customer service through demand segmentation, and build a resilient and profitable supply chain.

“The price of not knowing where you stand, and then failing to service customer demand effectively is potentially fatal. Businesses need to take rapid action to pinpoint failure modes and improve their core processes before it’s too late,” says Kelly.

Featuring other exciting keynote speakers such as former Red Arrows leader, Jas Hawker, and actor/comedian Hugh Dennis, alongside interactive workshops and discussions, the autumn forum will look at the big picture of the future of the logistics industry, as well as drilling down into the issues that matter. In addition to being eligible for a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate, delegates will leave the event armed with insight into how to best prepare their business for the future, whatever lies ahead.
