CHESTER, U.K. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- WOULD-be ‘Local Heroes’ have been given an extra week to apply for a starring role as a VIP at the grand opening of the new B&M  store at Chester’s Forum Shopping Centre after the closing date for entries was extended by seven days.

The new store is due to be officially opened on Friday October 24th and nominations for the Local Hero competition are now being accepted until Friday October 17th.

B&M Communications Manager Mr Charlie DuPre said the closing date had been extended to give as many as possible the chance to enter for the accolade, the winner of which will also be given £250 worth of vouchers to spend in the store.

Heroes can be nominated by friends, family or work colleagues and could be someone who makes life better for people in the area, works hard for a particular cause or is renowned for their charity work.

“We’re not judging by age or the type of support, we just want someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to,” explained the new B&M store manager Amanda Sullivan.

Nominations can be e-mailed to communications@bmstores.co.uk or posted to Chester Local Hero Search, B&M Retail Ltd, Dakota Drive, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, Liverpool L24 8RJ.
