Gary and Gab Valenciano, Cacai Bautista & Aiza Seguerra come together for a cause

MANGILAO, Guam - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- In celebration of The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) 20 years in the service of the Pinoys worldwide, the premier Filipino network sets another momentous gathering that highlights the “Galing ng Filipino” (Greatness of Filipinos) through the salient Filipino characteristic of kabutihan or kindness.  As part of the year-long celebration of the network’s anniversary, a meaningful event for a cause is all set with the “Galing ng Filipino: A TFC 20 Celebration” happening on the 8th of November, Saturday at the University of Guam Fieldhouse.

The network has been anchoring on the values that Filipinos possess, in different Filipino events all around the world this year starting at the kick-off of the anniversary celebrations in April at the Santa Clara Convention Center in the heart of Silicon Valley in the United States of America.

This time the celebration will be led by the TFC’s 20th year anniversary Ambassador and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano together with his son Super Selfie Youtube sensation Gab Valenciano, and singer-songwriter sessionista Aiza Seguerra.  Host, singer, and comedienne Cacai Bautista will also join in the celebration.

This year’s event in Guam is made possible through the partnership with the Edward M. Calvo (EMC) Cancer Foundation.  The foundation, which also celebrates their anniversary, their tenth year in service, has been financially and emotionally aiding thousands of patients in their battle with one of the major killer diseases in the world that is cancer.  Regardless of age, gender, race, or socio-economic status, the foundation which firmly believes “Guam is Good” has also been engaging and sharing various emotional and physical therapy sessions through community outreach programs.

ABS-CBN Asia Pacific Managing Director Ailene Averion affirms that for the past 20 years in the service of the Filipinos, TFC has always been at the forefront in building a strong and resilient relationship between Filipinos and their adoptive communities or new countries.  She says: “The celebration in November will be a testament to the strong relationship between the Filipinos and Guamanians.  TFC, as a network does not only provide information and entertainment to our homesick kababayans but also gives back to the community.  Specifically, we want to help organizations such as EMC which has been supporting cancer patients regardless of race or origin.  This is indeed one way to greatly recognize the group for their kindness, one of the traits which TFC heralds on its 20th anniversary.”  Part of the proceeds of the “Galing ng Filipino” event will be donated to the foundation in order to support more cancer patients who have been in constant struggle with the disease and to create a better and nurturing world for the patients.
