New Halloween Attraction to Premier in Foxboro

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Thrills, chills and ghoulish delight come to the Orpheum Theatre, 1 School Street in Foxboro, this month with the premiere of Beelzebub's CarnEvil, a haunted attraction by Fright Crew.  The attraction is themed like an old vaudeville carnival gone fiendishly awry. Doors will be open to the public, or at least those brave enough to enter, Thursdays through Sundays, October 9 through October 31. Hours on Thursdays and Sundays are 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 to 10:30. General admission is 15 dollars. Fifteen Years in the Making

Beelzebub's CarnEvil is the spawn of Zephyr Goza of Providence, who, despite being only 24 years old, has been intensely brewing his vision of opening such an attraction for the past 15 years. A native of San Francisco, Goza was raised in the proverbial trunk; he spent nearly his entire childhood and adolescence touring the nation and performing with his entertainer parents. After getting a good scare at the age of 9 when he attended the haunted house mounted annually by the Children's Museum Of Indianapolis, he became fascinated with haunted houses in general. That fascination mutated into a curiosity about how such attractions are designed and operated, and then into an obsession with opening one of his own.

After settling down in New England when he reached adulthood, Zephyr start making concrete plans to make his vision a reality – having already worked as an actor at several haunted attractions across the country, and even provided creative input and design/ construction assistance for some of them.  Now he has joined forces with a similarly dedicated and talented group of haunt enthusiasts to form the haunt production company Fright Crew.  After a series of setbacks and false starts – the attraction originally was scheduled to open last year – the Crew made its move from a warehouse in West Warwick to the Orpheum, which has staged its own haunted house in past years. Now, finally, Beelzebub's Carnevil is ready to wreak havoc on the nerves of anyone who loves to be scared out of their wits.

Fright Crew, LLC was founded in 2013 by a ragtag group of entrepreneurs in love with haunted houses. Tired of five-minute, poorly-themed haunts that missed out on the opportunity to tell a great story AND scare the pants off of anything with a pulse, Ray Mitchell, Zephyr Goza, and Keither Woods formed Fright Crew with the intent of creating the type of haunted house experience they always dreamed of.

Starting out with just a shoestring budget of life savings, they embarked on their own terrifying journey and incorporated their business. Fright Crew places focus on creativity and production value, often eschewing the more “tried-and-true” tactics in favor of their own brand of high-tech mayhem. With experience in everything from costume design, electronics, makeup, entertainment management, sound design, and scenic painting all the way down to special effects and computer programming, they hope to shed the old cookie-cutter haunted house gimmicks and bring Halloween into the 21st century.
