American Athletic Wins National ASBA Award For Top Outdoor Tennis Complex

BURLINGTON, N.J. - Oct. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Vincentown, NJ – October 6th, 2014 – American Athletic—an award-winning sports facility builder specializing in precision construction and installation of running tracks, artificial and natural turf fields, and sports courts—has been honored with the national ASBA Distinguished Tennis Facility Award, in recognition of excellence in design and construction for the Barlow Athletic Complex of Richard Stockton College in Galloway, NJ.

One of the most highly anticipated announcements at the ASBA’s Technical Meeting is that of the winners of its annual awards. Awards are presented each year to facilities built by ASBA members, which best exemplify construction excellence.

Projects are scored individually based on considerations such as layout and design, site work, drainage, base construction, surface, amenities, innovation and overall impression. Winning entries are those whose cumulative scores meet or exceed the standard. This year saw an unprecedented number of entries in the competition.

American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) will host an award ceremony from December 5th-9that the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.All award winners will be recognized at a special breakfast on December 7th. The Facility of the Year award winners will be announced on December 8th.

The Distinguished Tennis Facility award marks the ninth such honor for American Athletic from ASBA, including a 2012 Track and Field Facility of the Year Award for a sports complex in Clearwater, Florida.
