Follow on Google News | World-Renowned Pianist Opens St. Ann’s Concert SeriesMcDonald is professor of piano studies at The Juilliard School and The Curtis Institute of Music as well as a concert soloist and recording artist. A frequent accompanist to distinguished musicians, including Isaac Stern and Midori, he joins ECU faculty, students and selected Charlotte-area music students for a concert of chamber music masterpieces. The 2014-1015 Gaudium Musicae series also features the Carolina Catholic Chorale on Friday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m.; chamber music by Catawba River Baroque on Sunday, March 22 at 4:00 p.m.; and the Winthrop University World Percussion Ensemble on Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m. Season subscriptions are $40 for adults, $25 for students and $100 for families. Single concert tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and $30 for families. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased online at www.StAnnCharlotte.org and at the parish office.
