CLACKAMAS, Ore. - Oct. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- The WiMAX Forum® announced its upcoming conference series, delivering maximum value to the WiMAX ecosystem that includes the African community and vertical industries such as Oil & Gas and Aviation.

* Wednesday, November 5, 2014 – The first in the series, WiMAX Oil & Gas, apre-conference session at OilComm, will be held at the George R. Convention Center in Houston, Texas.  The program will focus on supporting the Oil & Gas community in deploying effective and affordable WiMAX networks to manage profitable development and growth of their communication initiatives. This will be an interactive working event and participation is free to attendees of the OilComm Full Conference Program and open to all participants of the WiMAX ecosystem. Membership in the WiMAX Forum is not a requirement to attend.  Conference participants will receive a special discount of 10% on the OilComm registration. * Monday, November 10, 2014 – The second in the series, WiMAX Africa 2014, will be held at the DoubleTree Cape Town – Upper Eastside in Cape Town, South Africa.  Last year’s WiMAX Africa event attracted over 160 attendees, including 88 representatives of 56 different operators. This year’s event will focus specifically on supporting the African operator community in developing and managing lucrative growth of WiMAX network deployments.  The focus will be on WiMAX Advanced: how operators can use their networks on the ground now to build multi-technology networks with WiMAX and, WiFi, Small Cells, and/or LTE. It will be an interactive working event. * Tuesday & Wednesday, November 11-12, 2014 – The final in the series, WiMAX Aviation 2014- Sendai, will be held at the Westin Sendai, Japan. This will be an event for all participants to meet, exchange ideas and develop business and cooperative relationships. It will include an AeroMACS field-tour trial of the ENRI lab in the Sendai Airport in the afternoon on November 12.  The meeting will be collocated with ICAO WG-S Meeting on November 13-14. This event will focus specifically on supporting the global Aviation Community in managing profitable development and growth of their AeroMACS networks.
