LogicTree To Provide Real-Time Integration with Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority

DENVER - Oct. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Last month, LogicTree, LLC, signed a contract with the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) to deliver real-time transit arrivals and departures via mobile application and text messaging (SMS) solutions.

With the integration of GTFS & GTFS-RT Data into the mobile applications developed on the OneBusAway framework, transit patrons will be able to get transit information based on their GPS coordinates or unique Stop Number.

Additional features include the ability to view the map display of stops and routes, bookmark favorite stops, and search by stop name, address, or unique stop number. The mobile applications will be developed by LogicTree, LLC under the OnTime branch and hosted in the public cloud by ViaWest, Inc.

“By allowing patrons to receive up-to-date bus information through multiple modes of dissemination, DART will reduce call volume to its call center,” said LogicTree’s Chief Operating Officer Brendan Roche.

“We are thrilled to provide this solution to DART and give their riders the information they demand, all while keeping DART’s operating costs low,” Roche said.
