STW Releases Temperature Sensor For Commercial and Off Highway Vehicles

NORCROSS, Ga. - Oct. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- STW Technic, a premier manufacturer of mobile controllers and measurement technology, today announced the release of the T01 CAN temperature sensor, which was developed for use in commercial vehicles as well as the mobile off-highway market.

It uses the highly accurate PT1000A temperature element welded in a robust stainless steel housing. STW’s extensive testing combined with high quality materials make the T01 compatible with a wide range of media and exhibit a high level of mechanical strength. Due to STW’s many years of experience in the mobile hydraulic application sector, particular attention was paid to typical harsh conditions such as vibration, EMC, thermal stress loads and other external influences. The T01 boast an operating temperature of -40 to +125 degree Celsius and is rated IP67.

Currently the T01 is available only in CANopen and supports 11 and 29 bit identifiers.   The J1939 version is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2015.

The announcement comes a week before SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress 2014 to be held in Rosemont, Illinois. STW will be at booth 509 and will be sharing innovations in telematics, sensor and control technology.
