Local Waukee, IA Man Summits Mt. Kilimanjaro

WAUKEE, Iowa - Oct. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Boulder, CO [October 1, 2014]:  Climbing to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro can broaden one’s horizons.  Jonathan Clayberg, 29, of Waukee, IA, should know, as he summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in September 2014.  Mt. Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa (19,340 ft.) and the highest freestanding mountain in the world.  To climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Clayberg and his group traveled in style on a luxury trek up the Lemosho Route with adventure travel outfitter Adventures within Reach (adventureswithinreach.com).

The Lemosho Route on Mt. Before summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, Clayberg and three of his friends also went on a three day safari. Lake Manyara is ideal for viewing birdlife with over 400 species. Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world abundant with wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, and hyenas. Tarangire is a beautiful park filled with baobabs and acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck.  Regarding his safari experience, Clayberg declared, “The safari was full of wildlife and the lodges were top notch.”
