Designing Spaces on Lifetime® Talks New Ways to Cool and Heat a Home with Daikin North America LLC

Experts from Daikin North America will show viewers the newest options in HVAC Systems and creating home comfort in special half-hour “Think Green” show airing on October 2nd

(POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – PR LOG – September 30, 2014). The award-winning home improvement show Designing Spaces™ airing on the Lifetime® Channelwill feature Daikin North America LLC in a full half-hour episode as part of the “Think Green” series on Thursday, October 2^nd. This episode will re-air on October 16th at 7:30 am (ET/PT). Tune in as three experts from Daikin explain the latest technologies in central HVAC systems that can contribute to lower energy bills and more energy efficiency.

During the episode, “New Ways to Cool and Heat Your Home”, viewers will learn how a homeowner can tell when they need to replace or upgrade a residential HVAC system, the three different types of HVAC systems (ducted, ductless and VRV), what each one is and how they work within a house, and the benefits and advantages of each to a homeowner.

The Designing Spaces team first meets up with Jim Fisher, Split Systems Product Manager at a home which is overdue for a HVAC (which stands for heating, ventilation and air conditioning) makeover. Fisher will explain what’s new in ducted technology, considered the most popular type, and talk about the variable speed inverter compressor.

Next, Designing Spaces visits with a homeowner who installed a ductless HVAC system. John Clements, Director of Ductless products from Daikin is on hand to talk about this technology available around the world and now just becoming popular here due to the control aspects and energy efficiency.

Chris Bellshaw, Director of VRV Systems at Daikin will explain this third type of HVAC system that many haven’t heard of, that is now produced in the U.S. for the first time. This VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) system is extremely energy efficient and can be used in residential or commercial locations such as a restaurant or hospital.
