Khine Marketing Solutions Owes Success to Driven Leader

TUKWILA, Wash. - Sept. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- "It’s interesting how I ended up in this industry,” explained Irene, the director of operations for Khine Marketing Solutions. “Before going into advertising, I was writing politics, news, and lifestyle articles in Singapore. However, when I came to America, I found that no one wanted to hire a writer that knew little about America or Seattle. After struggling to find a job, I found myself in experiential marketing.”

Irene has a track record of thriving in new environments, starting with her experiences in early childhood. “I was born in Yangon, Burma, but moved to Australia when I was six. My family and I lived in Australia for about nine years, and then we moved back to Burma.” After living in Burma for five more years, Irene was on the move again. “I moved to Singapore, where I earned degrees in mass communication, public relations, and journalism. After four years there, I moved to Seattle, and have lived in Washington State for the last year and a half.”

While some might have found such a childhood overwhelming, Irene credits much of her leadership style to the lessons learned from living in different areas of the world. “I learned to be very flexible while moving around, and gained an appreciation for diversity and the strengths it can lend to businesses if harnessed strategically,” Irene recalled. “I also learned to work hard for what I want and that I can learn from anyone, no matter their station in life.”

Along with lessons from a lifetime of travel, Irene considers her love of competitive sports to have impacted her approach to business. “Being an athlete has multiple benefits for anyone in business. It teaches delayed gratification, work ethic, how to function independently or with a team, and how to face challenges.” She carries these values with her in all of her interactions with those she oversees, making her an inspiration to follow.
