John Dustin Buckman Charitable Trust Grant to Fund 500 Children’s Winter Jackets

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Sept. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Catholic Charities of West Tennessee (CCWTN) today announced that through a generous grant from the John Dustin Buckman Charitable Trust they will jointly provide 500 winter jackets to at-risk children this season.

Approximately 50% of the winter jackets will be distributed to students of the Jubilee Schools of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis with the balance provided to children as part of CCWTN’s annual Gifts for God’s Children Christmas outreach.

Commenting on this gift, Peggy Stehling – Gifts for God’s Children Coordinator for Catholic Charities of West Tennessee said: “There are too many children in our community who go to school, church or play without proper, warm, winter outerwear. We are very grateful to the John Dustin Buckman Charitable Trust for their generosity and for the cooperation of the Principals and staff of the Catholic Diocese of Memphis Jubilee Schools as well as our staff and volunteers at Catholic Charities of West Tennessee in identifying children who are at-risk and helping to distribute these jackets in the most appropriate way.”
