Detectamet’s Stainless Reputation Grows

YORK, U.K. - Sept. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Detectamet is exhibiting its expanded range of Stainless Steel products at the PPMA Exhibition where fourteen new products are to be added to the six items previously exhibited.

“Customers have frequently asked us for additional products made from stainless steel” explained Detectamet’s CEO Sean Smith, “and over the past couple of years we have had a lot of interest in our steel clipboards and filing systems”

Earlier this year a multi-purpose stainless steel dispenser was introduce that could be wall mounted or offered on a movable stand and the interest it created has stimulated the development of even more products.

“Stainless steel and the food industry go together like apple crumble and custard” says Sean Smith “It’s inert, resists chemical and impact damage and is easier to clean  and sanitise than other materials” he explained.

Visitors to food production areas cannot fail to notice the machinery, pipework and surface areas made using stainless steel. They may also notice when staff walk through process areas with files and clipboards, document trays and ring binders that are made from a range of materials that are less than ideal. Hardboard, brittle plastics and worn binding board are just some of the less than hygienic materials to be found.

“There is something about a stainless steel clipboard that says ‘I am shiny and clean’ to the Auditor or visiting customer” says Sean “and that is one reason why they are so popular with our customers.”

The Detectamet Stainless range divides into two groups. The office admin group includes ring binders, pens rulers, clip boards and document trays. The In-process group of products are designed to help quick and easy distribution of personal protection items such as gloves, shoe covers, hair nets and the growing range of ear protection. There are also wall mountable units designed to hold tubs of surface and probe wipes.
