There’ll be continuous showings of classic anime series Doraemon (http://tinyurl.com/mx7zrm2), which began as a Japanese manga series in 1965.  It has been a very popular TV series throughout Japan and Asia as well.   Disney has acquired the rights to it in the United States early 2014.  The story revolves around a robotic cat named Doraemon from the future with lots of fun gadgets.  Fans will have a chance to take pictures with this anime star, as well as to shop for Doraemon related souvenirs.  Other video presentations include interviews of ramen chefs and Japanese movies.

The ramen line up at San Jose is packed with star quality as well.   Kamitoku (http://xn--btrs5xo20c.com/) ramen is from one of the most luxurious towns in the world, Ginza, Tokyo.  They are known for rare gyukotsu ramen (beef bone broth ramen), which is available on the second week of San Jose Ramen Yokocho.  Bay Area ramen fans can also taste arguably the best ramen in Los Angeles, Tsujita’ (http://tsujita-la.com/)s miso tonkotsu.  This bowl of noodles is exclusive to this Ramen Yokocho event.  Including Keizo Shimamoto’s “Burger Ramen” (not Ramen Burger), most of the ramen at Ramen Yokocho will be exclusive to the festival.  Please see attached information for more ramen line ups.
