CARLISLE, Pa. - Sept. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- As Carlisle Events prepares to celebrate its 40th Anniversary season with Fall Carlisle, October 1-5 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, its sister company, Carlisle Auctions, is preparing for its two-day collector car auction at the Carlisle Expo Center.  The auction runs October 2-3 and features more than 300 classics, plus merchandise, memorabilia and collectables for sale, all to the highest bidder.  Another great feature of the 2014 Fall Carlisle Auction is that four cars crossing the block will see 100% of their sales totals going to charity.

The charities benefiting from the Fall Auction in 2014 are the Wounded Warrior Project and the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation, and the four cars are ones that should draw a few thousand dollars for each.  Cars for the Thursday Wounded Warrior Project portion of the auction are a 1985 Pontiac Parisienne, a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne and a 1968 Javelin SST.  These three cars have been donated by a local veteran named Marlin Snyder and the first of the three cars to move will be auctioned by guest auctioneer Dan Steele of WHP 580 Radio.

Friday’s charity car is a 2002 Volkswagen Passat and has been donated by George and Mary Munsterman.  The sale of the VW will benefit the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation and this ride will be auctioned by Jen Shade of local radio station 105.7 The X.  In both cases, 100% of all sales will go directly to the charities and all buyers and sellers fees have been waived.

“As a company that’s been community supported since 1974, it’s always great to be able to give back to the community and its various causes,” noted Carlisle Events’ co-owner and co-founder Bill Miller, Jr.  “The Chip Miller Charitable Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project have a special place in our hearts and they do great work for those in need.  I’m excited that our auction will provide financial assistance to these great organizations and I’m anxious to watch the four charity cars cross the block,” continued Miller.  “Of course none of this would be possible without the generous donations from Mr. Snyder as well as Mr. and Mrs. Munsterman.  I want to personally thank them for their contributions.”

While consignments are sold out, there is still time to register to be a bidder.  Carlisle Auctions is offering a bidder’s pass package that sells for $100, but holds a value of more than $300.  The $100 bidder’s pass not only allows its holder to bid on all cars crossing the block, but provides reciprocating access to all five days of Fall Carlisle as well as both days of the auction.  Further, the pass provides access for a guest, plus food and drink privileges during the Fall Auction.  Complete auction details are also available at www.CarlisleAuctions.com or by calling 717-243-7855 and utilizing extensions 167, 187 or 191.
