JOHANNESBURG - Sept. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Mobile solutions continue to change the way business resources are utilised and managed. Those companies that invest accordingly are gaining on competitors as a result of improved logistics management.

The incorporation of mobile solutions to speed up operations and enhance processes involved in supply chain management and logistics is emerging as a game-changing investment for any-sized business.

The reality is that innovation has made it possible for employees to take control of HR processes, for sales representatives to access data from any location at any point and for companies to initiate and manage important functions using smart devices.

To ensure that customers benefit from the advantage of this increased access and remote management capability business management solution developers are focusing more on the integration of mobile technology in their offerings.

Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys, says that mobility has permeated most business operations today and is now a key consideration in terms of logistic strategies, irrespective of industry or sector.

The Company is a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX) and a national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space

To take advantage of this growing trend and meet an increasing need in the market, Accsys has strengthened its product portfolio to include PeopleWare MOBI as an extension of its Employee Self Service (ESS) offering.

This mobile app uses geolocation to clock in with a smartphone from anywhere in the world.

From a logistics and resource management point of view, the device can be used at any location globally to authorise any ESS request and initiate and control HR functions such as authorising leave requests, signing off overtime payments and approve training.  It is freely available on Android, iOS and BlackBerry Operating Systems.

“This mobile offering allows users to view payslips for the current tax year, view the complete leave history and receive staff status notifications,” explains Schroenn. “GPS technology can be used to clock into areas or sites where traditional solutions are not practical.”

According to Accsys the advent of mobile technology has had a profound impact on the way resources are managed, controlled and applied in business. The challenge will be to continue to develop and roll out solutions to keep up with the demand as businesses utilise more resources to compete.
