Follow on Google News | Taste of Bonita Seeks Restaurants & Amateur Chefs for 21st Annual EventBy: Rotary Noon Club Of Bonita Springs Held every year in November, the Taste of Bonita now attracts over 16,000 attendees and is an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their cuisine and support their community. Open to all restaurants in Southwest Florida, the entry fee for restaurants is $350. Fifty percent of the first $3000 goes to the participating restaurant and the remaining fifty percent to the Rotary Club to support charitable endeavors the club undertakes throughout the year. 90% of sales over $3000 go back to the restaurant. In addition to the Taste of Bonita on Sunday, the weekend event includes an amateur Chili and BBQ Cook-off & Craft Fair on Saturday, followed by a free concert from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. featuring the Jimmy Buffet tribute band, The Caribbean Chillers. The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon was chartered in 1992 and is made up of business professionals who come together to serve the community and promote their vocations. To date the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon has donated over $750,000 to charities in large part through funds raised at the annual Taste of Bonita.
