Sept. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The free to download HelloLocal App alerts customers once they arrive at the Bendigo Marketplace with a personalised welcome message. Inside the centre customers will receive incentive to shop with the Marketplace retailers, including free coffee from Cafe Thirteen07 and Michel’s Patisserie as well as exclusive deals from Roger David, Inkspot, Sterns Jewellery as well as other retailers.

‘The journey of a user walking into the Bendigo Marketplace, receiving a notification and redeeming a reward works extremely well for both our customers and retailers’ says Dannielle Downs Marketing Manager for the Bendigo Marketplace.

‘We are always looking for new and exciting ways to improve the customer experience in our centre, HelloLocal allows us to connect with customers based on where they are in a personal, relevant way; but most importantly it provides customers with relevant information that adds value to their in-centre shopping experience’ says Ms Downs.

The HelloLocal team are on hand in centre to help users if they didn’t understand how the App works, however, the App is straightforward and simple to use for even the most novice smartphone user. “Bendigo Marketplace is one of the first shopping centres to adopt proximity marketing and information services using a consumer focused App” said David Burden, co-founder of HelloLocal and iProximity, the companies behind the deployment.

“The Consumer App approach offers considerable advantages over the Passbook or coupon approach other Centres are trialling. Consumers need to download passes for each offer, whereas with HelloLocal this is not required, you simply walk into the centre and your offers are automatically presented.

“The HelloLocal App offers the consumer a far richer engagement,” said Mr Burden “its one App for all local proximity services and it also works with all our other HelloLocal retailers, community groups, tourism and local information providers. HelloLocal also automatically transforms from Hello Bendigo to Hello Ballarat (or other location). Consumers select their categories of interest and can ignore other alerts or offers; in addition we have added social capabilities in HelloLocal making it easy to share the great offers with your friends. In HelloLocal each consumer also has control over their own privacy of their information.

“A HelloLocal App based deployment offers retailers and centres increased analytics, more control over the content, rich HTML 5 pages, rather than just Passbook formats and integration into CRM, ERP and analytics platforms.

“Passes certainly have their place and we have them integrated into our platforms, but they do require an App download for Android and if this is the case you are better giving the consumer’s a more compelling engaging experience with either you own App integration or using HelloLocal concluded Mr Burden
