SAN JOSE, Calif. - Oct. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Labor of Love Publications is proud to announce the release of Dark Light Present Today, the second book of Forever Tomorrow: Volume One ofThe Book of Tomorrows.

Picking up where Book One: Bright Night Past Yesterday left off, Dark Light Present Today takes a dramatic shift in story and tone. The aftermath from the bomb blast the morning after the wedding of the unknown heir to the Prophet Warrior leads to an intense criminal investigation brought to trial on specious evidence.

Jacob Rose, the country’s number one celebrity and best friend to the mysterious heir, defends his ex-roommates, celebrity chef Warren Stacy and local sports commentator Owen Sandy, accused of being terrorist bombers and lovers by their new roommate and prosecuting attorney, Ricardo Danielle. In court, Ricardo blames homosexuality for the fall of our old civilization, along the present day motives of the defendants. He harbors an ill will toward anyone involved in the deviant lifestyle, believing it to be the reason why he can’t be with the girl he loves, something he is willing to do almost anything to arrange.

Michael Angel, the long lost heir of the Prophet Warrior, and Eve Adams, the FWF (Free Will Forever) spy secretly matched to him by the rebel group, cut short their honeymoon and rush back to help prove their friends innocent. They devise a good story to defend their friends, putting forth a new theory about the mysterious gay gene being a part of our genetic makeup, sort of a built in mechanism to thin the herd.

Dark Light Present Today is available for the first time in 180 suspense filled, page-turning paperback pages. It is also available worldwide in EBook formats through Amazon, Smashwords, and other internet distributors.

“First conceived in two parts, Forever Tomorrow originally was the first and last book in The Book of Tomorrows trilogy, bookending books two and three. But much like life, my story has continued to evolve.”

Forever Tomorrow: Volume One of The Book of Tomorrows is readable as its own separate trilogy that the whole family can enjoy, while Volumes Two and Three—I, Messiah and The Prophet Warrior, respectively—tell much darker stories more mature readers can one day pass down to their children when old enough. Each volume tells a complete story the reader can enjoy separately, chronologically, or as numerically conceived, starting and ending with Forever Tomorrow.

“Originally published as an EBook under Forever Tomorrow part one, I decided to Kill Bill it after realizing the dramatic shifts in tone served the story better by splitting part one into two separately connected tales, much like Tarantino’s breathtakingly spectacular homage to Asian cinema and spaghetti westerns did. It was then that I also became aware of the harsh reality imbued in revealing humanity’s heart of darkness. There was just no way I could realistically tell those tales without describing the inherent graphic details, while I also saw no need to make any explicit changes to the first story’s virtuously hopeful outlook. Defying conventional wisdom, I have presented the reader with something uniquely different in both structure and story that may stand the test of time as a motivating force for change.”

Written with the same cutting edge bravado in which initially conceived, this bold, daring, thought-provoking story will surely stir up some harsh sentiments and potential confrontational responses. A well-crafted, intelligent thrill-ride, filled with high adventure, dark secrets, true romance, and an inspirational, socially redeeming good story, The Book of Tomorrows is sure to elicit more than emotion from the reader.

About the Author: Growing up in a small town in New Jersey, Alexander Ulysses Thor developed a strong thirst for knowledge at an early age. He moved to California at the turn of the century to chase down his dreams of Hollywood stardom with a screenplay contract offer for $200,000.00 he couldn’t refuse. Finding himself frustrated with the vagaries of Tinsel Town gamesmanship, Alexander went back to his first love of writing novels. After experiencing an epiphany of purpose, he finally realized his reason for being. He was born to use the awesome power of the Written Word to tell A Good Story. Born in the early Sixties, Alexander has witnessed the most progressive decades of change since the Industrial Revolution modernized the world with mechanical wonders, giving him a unique perspective and the proper mindset to take on such an ambitious, potentially controversial project as The Book of Tomorrows.
