It was then that I also became aware of the harsh reality imbued in revealing humanity’s heart of darkness. There was just no way I could realistically tell those tales without describing the inherent graphic details, while I also saw no need to make any explicit changes to the first story’s virtuously hopeful outlook. Defying conventional wisdom, I have presented the reader with something uniquely different in both structure and story that may stand the test of time as a motivating force for change.”
