GSF Mortgage Expands to Iowa State

KEOKUK, Iowa - Sept. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- GSF Mortgage is pleased to welcome new branch manger April Girard in Keokuk, Iowa. Girard joins TeamGO with 13 years of industry experience. This is the first office in the state for GSF Mortgage.

Girard was member of the Navy for 8 years where she studied to be a pharmacy technician and wanted to pursue pharmacy sales. In order to gain experience, she started looking for a sales position. She started working as a processor for a company in San Diego. From there, she became an assistant for a top producer and then transitioned into an underwriting role. After learning all the facets of the industry, Girard became a loan originator. When a local lender retired in Iowa, Girard took the position to be closer to her family.

When it comes to her customers, Girard lives by the golden rule: treat others how you would want to be treated. If she can’t help her customers now, she is always looking for ways to help them in the future.

As a retired Navy veteran, Girard wants to delve into the VA market to help veterans like herself take advantage of their benefits. The VA program offers 100 percent financing to veterans and active military personal. She also would like to make the USDA and FHA programs more available in Iowa.
