By: Animal Aid On September 27th, Greenville Downtown Airport will be active with over 50 planes that will be loaded with homeless animals and fly them away to waiting rescues, fosters and new homes. The animal loving pilots donate their time, plane and all costs to help relocate animals that are unwanted in South Carolina and Georgia to areas in the USA that can't wait to greet them. Animal Aid USA will then load up over 150 rescued lives and caravan home to arrive on Sunday , September 28, 2014 at 131 Navy Lane , Marlton, NJ for 10:00am. Animal Aid USA will also attempt to get lawmakers to end the inhumane use of the gas chamber as a way of euthanizing dogs and cats. A gas chamber that was pulled from a state that now prohibits its use will be on display. Phil Draughon will be the first to take a sledgehammer to it. Phil is the companion to Amazing Grace, the Georgia dog that survived the gas chamber and went on to help change the state's law by outlawing its use. Karen Talbot and Prince Lorenzo Borghese, Founders of Animal Aid, will speak during the event. Animal Aid USA is a nonprofit composed 100% of volunteers that want to save animals. Each month, they drive 1600 miles to relocate animals in high-kill shelters to receiving rescues and homes. Pilots N Paws is a nonprofit that matches rescues with pilots that have a desire to help animals. Pilots assist in relocating animals from overpopulated locations to places that want dogs. Animal supporters are invited to attend the event and meet others who have been successful in animal rescue and had success in making lawmakers vote for animal rights.
