HUDSON, Mass. - Sept. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- CSLFC Ultrasonic Flow Meters, part of the Clark Sonic family of ultrasonic products (http://www.clarksol.com/ultrasonic/clarksonic_home.cfm), are designed for high accuracy flow measurement and as an alternative to more expensive “strap on” ultrasonic flow measurement products.  Available in 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10" pipe sizes, CSLFC Ultrasonic Flow Meters are bi-directional, with field selectable flow ranges to 3000 GPM (11000 LPM), and are accurate to ± 0.75% of full scale.  Maximum working pressure for CSLFC Ultrasonic Flow Meters is 200 PSI (13.8 bars), with operating temperatures of -40 to 190°F (-40 to 87.8°C).

Wetted materials include ULTEM® encapsulated ultrasonic transducers with a choice of EPDM, Buna-N, Neoprene, FKM, or other seals and epoxy coated, Schedule 40 carbon steel pipe body material.

The Clark CSLFC Liquid Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter is an excellent alternative to other flow transmitter technologies, with several clear advantages. There is no element in the fluid stream to add pressure loss, no moving parts, and no hysteresis. The output of the transmitter is unaffected by changes in fluid temperature, density, and viscosity, as the flow calculation is independent of the speed of sound.

CSLFC Ultrasonic Flow Meters are available with optional 3-wire RTD, 100 Ohm, Platinum, Class A, IEC60751 temperature sensors for temperature and energy monitoring applications.  All CSLFC Ultrasonic Flow Meters have 4-20 mA output as standard with a second output available in the form of an optically isolated NPN transistor, configured at the factory.
