Sept. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- At Gladiator Finance our aim is to provide innovative, highly customised and bespoke solutions and advice that are infinitely more personal and independent than any offered by your bank or other financial advisory firm.

Gladiator Finance's European Economic Update - 24th September 2014

The day after the United States helped coordinate a massive attack on IS, markets in Asia take a step back and Europe and the US are expected to follow.

European Indexes are expected to continue their run of losses today as further news from within Europe confirms a slowdown in the EU's economy.

Markit's PMI for September came in at 52.3, the second month in a row that it has dropped with August seeing 52.5 making it the lowest since December last year.

With demand slowing along with growth output and a less than meaningful reduction in the unemployment figures the EU economy is now starting to show real signs of stagnation.

France in particular is a country to watch as it saw both is services and manufacturing PMI drop to below 50 at 49.1. Any score below 50 signals a contraction in the economy.

With businesses in Europe having to drop their prices to entice customers deflation is a serious risk and earlier this week Mario Draghi of the European Central Bank stated that along with the Benchmark rate reduction to 0.05% there was a possibility of additional stimulus in the form of an Asset Back Securities purchasing program.

With the situation in the Ukraine and the sanctions imposed on Russia and now the concerted efforts being made against IS in Syria the markets will probably have a quiet week and the full impact of the actions in the Middle East filter down to the markets.
