This Weekend: A Performance of the Recently Published Novel, In Doubt, by Poolhouse Project

Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- For someone who has been a successfully published author for many years, Drusilla Campbell’s engaging and likable personality probably wouldn’t hint to her success unless you were told about it.

She is graceful and has a host of stories in her.  Campbell’s The Good Sister novel was the winner of a Theodor S. Geisel Award from the 17th Annual San Diego Book Writing Awards and the Women’s National Book Association named it “Great Group Read”. As she states on her website, “I write because I have always written; and if I stopped an essential part of me would stop too. I write because all my life I have loved stories, loved figuring out what makes people do the wild and weird things they do. I write because I want to connect with you, establish a bond between us based on common experiences and shared reflections.”

In August, Grand Central Publishing published her novel In Doubt.  The story centers around a defense attorney, a town’s governor getting shot in the park, and the mystery of who committed the crime.

Drusilla was on the Executive Board for San Diego Writers, Ink for many years and has been a part of the emerging San Diego writing community scene.

This Saturday, September 27, the San Diego Writers, Ink will be the host of a performance of the novel by the Poolhouse Project, narrated by San Diego Writers, Ink's Executive Director, Kristen Fogle, and featuring local actors George Bailey, Bailey La Flam, Christine Gatlin, Lydia Real, Michael Shantz led by Fogle.

The public is invited to watch the performance and enjoy refreshments.  Books will be available for purchase and Campbell will be on hand to sign them.  Here are details of the event.
